The metropolis of Los Angeles is known for its glamourous lifestyles, exclusive shopping, celebrities of entertainment renown and a mecca of the world's finest institutions of higher learning. Thousands upon thousands of parents save their entire adult lives to send their children to these schools to insure them of a life of success and well being. A few of these learning institutions are represented here.

Universities of the Greater Los Angeles Area

The Antioch University of Los Angeles offers undergraduate and graduate adult education. The Southern California University of Health Sciences offers the Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) Degree, Master of Applied Science Musculoskeletal Management Degree Program, Chiropractic Assistant Program, SCU Continuing Education Seminars and SCU Distance Learning.

Los Angeles Community College

The Los Angeles Community College District consists of nine campuses, 130,000 students and is situated in 36 cities of the greater Los Angeles area. Los Angeles Community College offers economically feasible educations to transfer students, adult continuing education and under graduate studies. The nine campuses include the Los Angeles City College, East Los Angeles College, Los Angeles Harbor College, Los Angeles Mission College, Pierce College, Los Angeles Southwest College, Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Los Angeles Valley College and West Los Angeles College.

Colleges and Technical Institutions of Two Year Degree Programs

Pierce College is a two-year, public institution and is one of the nine campuses of the Los Angeles Community College District. Pierce College is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is accredited in Veterinary Sciences, Business, Journalism, Automotive Service Technology and Nursing. Los Angeles City College offers an associate degree program in post-secondary lower division arts and sciences and vocational courses leading to direct entrance into the work force or transferable to a four-year university. The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising offers post-secondary arts and sciences. The Westwood College Inglewood of Aviation offers degree certificate in automotive maintenance, aviation electronics and aviation maintenance. The Westwood College offers aviation mechanic programs leading to a degree within 17 months. The Universal Technical Institute offers auto mechanics, automotive maintenance, marine mechanics, motorcycle mechanics and small engine repair studies.

The Cleveland Chiropractic College offers a Bachelor's of Science in Human Biology and an Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences. The coursework includes studies in dentistry, chiropractic, nursing, pharmacy and medicine.
